I have been disappointed and ripped off by so many providers over the years that I have lost count. Great customer service is a rarity these days. Weather it’s a cable company, insurance company, past employer, contractor or online consultant. Nothing upsets me more than when people overpromise and under-deliver.

If for whatever reason you do not feel you have received value for your money or that I have not fully met your expectations then simply ask for your money back* or a price adjustment or for more service!

*I do appreciate that on occasion people realize that they have made a purchase mistake or simply wish to back out of a program.

  • If within 30 days you want your money back – No problem I’ll give you a full refund.
  • If after 30 days you want your money back I will pro-rate a full refund for the unused portion of the program. (i.e., 12 month program refund after 2 months and I will refund you the pro-rated 10 months cost of the program.

Having a solid reputation of trust and respect is key to the long-term survival of any coaching practice — especially in todays vocal world of social media and on-line reviews.

The Benefits of a Mentoring Dynamic – Dan Trepanier

Start

Doing what matters to live and work on your own terms, our mentoring relationships will give us both;

  1. Exposure to new ideas and ways of thinking.
  2. Advice that develops your strengths and helps you overcome challenges.
  3. Guidance on living OUT your calling.
  4. Opportunities to develop new skills, attitudes, and knowledge.
  5. Growth – Significance – Contribution – Connection – Belonging.
  6. A sense of pride and satisfaction knowing we're both doing what matters to  live and work on our own terms.
  7. Exposure to fresh perspectives, ideas and approaches.
  8. Opportunity to reflect on goals and practices.
  9. Development of our personal leadership and coaching styles.
  10. Recognition as a subject matter expert and leader.

"Mentoring is a fundamental form of human development where one person invests time, energy and personal know-how in assisting the growth and ability of another person. Mentors are those special people in our lives who, through their deeds and their work, help us move toward fulfilling our potential." (Shea, 1997.)

...that MATTER

  1. What's advantages do you have that will give you that EDGE to overcome the obstacles if face?
  2. What can you do this week to get exposed to new ideas and ways of thinking, being or doing?
  3. What would a Mentoring Relationship bring to your life?

Mentoring involves helping someone explore questions about growth, significance, contribution, connection, and belonging. - Dan

...helping someone explore questions about growth, significance, contribution, connectionand belonging.

I believe every Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, or Questioning (LGBTQ) person would enjoy a mentor and has the potential to be a GREAT MENTOR. Our discussions could safely evolve around sex, coming out and relationships or could simply be about productivity and performance at work - YOU DECIDE!

YOU mentor me or I mentor you? Let's set our egos aside, and reap the joy from our collaborative learning process.

A mentor can provide SUPPORT, ADVICE and RESOURCES to help you live and work on your own terms. Older people in our community have an obligation to give back. The best way for young people to give back is to succeed, prove that you can live life on your own terms. - Dan Trepanier

Unlike gender or race, being part of the LGBTQ community is not always obvious and causes some of us to withdraw.

  • The benefits of mentoring are many, and vary from relationship to relationship. By the way who is helping who? It's not always an older person mentors a younger person dynamic. A younger person with a unique perspective is well positioned to mentor someone older.
  • The right mentor brings wisdom, resources, and personal experience to aid aspiring young people. Whether it's in business, your personal life or working on a creative project.
  • We all struggle with how out and open we could be in meetings before getting involved. Connecting to role models and seeing others 'like you' succeed lift's your spirits.

We can all be that mentor for someone else. Demonstrating how our success was possible because we had someone in our corner. Someone showing us it does get better.

A mentor uses accountability to help you set and keep priorities and reduce time-wasters. Stay on track, focus and achieve RESULTS. Creating, launching or maintaining a project can be an emotional roller coaster. There are hi’s and low’s to manage and for some people self-doubt can be debilitating.

Hiring an accountability mentor is a psychological lever that impacts your bottom line - Dan Trepanier

Just because our rights are in writing it does not mean attitudes and biases vanish overnight. Out and proud mentors create out and proud mentees who shatter misconceptions about others.

Even successful artists and entrepreneurs get distracted and overwhelmed at times. With accountability you increase your chances to do what matters in business and life.

Even successful artists and entrepreneurs get distracted and overwhelmed at times. With accountability you increase your chances of doing what matters for business and life. To learn and collaborate.

  • Success is when your followers value your perspective, relate to your original, unique voice, and consider your message relevant in their lives. Engage others to create content based on doing what matters.

Your job is to scrutinize any prospective coaches or consultants to see if there is a good fit between what they are offering and what you are seeking.

  • I certainly encourage you to do this with me. Beginning with checking out my site and more importantly having a no-cost conversation over the phone.

I have been involved in the coaching profession for over 30 years. Some days I'm proud to call myself a coach while other days I'm embarrassed to use the word. A market-saturation of unqualified people think coaching is a path to easy on-line money. In contrast there are amazing, talented coaches who inspire and make a difference in the lives of others.

The 2012 ICF Global Coaching Study found that more than 43 percent of respondents viewed untrained individuals who called themselves coaches as the biggest obstacle facing professional coaching over the next year. The continued use of the terms "coach" and "coaching" by untrained professionals is also seen as a significant threat facing the viability and credibility of the global coaching profession, the study said. The average consumer has become somewhat jaded with having to dig deep into their hard-earned pockets to pay someone for advice. Perhaps they've never experienced a good coaching dynamic?  It's understandable that many people live a month to month, making cut-back decisions on everything other than essentials and fun (yes I said fun).

A coach is someone who gives you the perspective you can't see. To help you identify, reinforce and work towards concrete goals. A coach offers insight, challenges and holds you accountable - Dan Trepanier

Don't take what I say at face value without doing your homework and without having an exit strategy from any coaching relationship that's not working for you.

Now let me begin my pitch....

As a National Project Manager for one of Canada's largest charities I led the most successful National Internship Program ever. It wasn't easy and we had our fair share of ups and downs!

  • Our efforts translated into collaborating and coaching 100's of staff and volunteers, guiding 13,000+ Interns, 7,451 Mentors  in 787 Canadian Cities, Towns, Villages, 90 Ministries, Crown Corporations, Agencies totalling $163 million in Government Funding over 14 Years -- WHEW that's a mouth full of impressive stats!

Much of the credit to our success went to the talented professionals across Canada, the Interns and their Mentors.

For me it always about applying significant, measurable know-how, plus the guts to use all my talents for the betterment of the people, programs and projects I'm involved with.

As Sean Moffitt, Author of Wikibrands once said " In the true spirit of being a “change agent”, Dan is able to stickhandle through a maze of process, technology and resource constraints and come out the other side looking like roses.
